Sunday School

It is hard to believe that the children go back to school in just 2 weeks.  This summer has just flown by so quickly.  It is also time to focus on a new school year here at FUMC.  We are looking for volunteers to teach our children at all grade levels.  We are also in need of Junior High Youth Group leaders.

A sign-up sheet will be available beginning this Sunday, August 1st.  Teachers are scheduled two at a time on a rotating basis. The commitment is usually for 2 Sundays a month during the 10:30 am service.  No experience is necessary, just the love for the Lord and the willingness to share it with our children.  We will provide the curriculum and training.

Please give prayerful consideration to working with our youth.

Summer Music

Calling all fourth – twelfth graders!  Starting Sunday, August 1 we will be playing hand bells!!!!  Come learn how these beautiful instruments are played.  We will meet following Children’s Time in the Asbury Quad.  First – third grade students will have Sunday School with Dawn in their classroom.

Young Adults

Our conference is hosting a Saturday workshop for young adults and we would love to have our church represented.  The intention of the conference is to find out how our church can better serve our 20-30 year old members.  The date for the workshop is Saturday, August 14.   If you are interested please contact Dawn Mallory, fumcdawn@sbcglobal or call 668-6856. (More information is on page 5.)
