Easter Egg Hunt -
Sunday, April 5 - 10:30 AM

Please join us for our annual Easter Egg hunt on the front lawn following worship. We will have bags available to collect eggs. Please have kids line up on the sidewalk after worship. They will be called by age for our egg hunt. Fellowship will also be provided on the front lawn.

Please join us to do a little spring cleaning at church before Holy Week begins. Many hands make light work, we’d love your help! Jobs for all levels. Join us Saturday, March 28, any time between 8:30 AM - 11:30 am. We will also have Sanctuary cleaning days March 10, 11, 12 and 16 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am. Please sign up in the Narthex and let us know where where you'd like to help.

Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. Through the service of ashes on the first day of Lent, we come before God recognizing our humanity, repenting of our sin, and remembering who we are and who we can be. Join us at 6:30 PM on February 18, in the Sanctuary or online .

40 Ideas to Keeping Lent Holy

Come enjoy a night of food, fun and fellowship! Our United Women of Faith will be hosting, Burritos and Bingo on Saturday, January 31 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Cost for your build your own burrito dinner is only $25 and you will receive free bingo cards. Any proceeds will benefit our youth going on a mission trip with Sierra Service Project this summer. Make sure you save the date for BINGO, you might even win a prize! All ages welcome! Tickets will be available at the scrip table this Sunday.

This worship service is presented by our children and youth. Come enjoy reflective and joyful music and drama that celebrate the Advent season.

Our United Methodist Women host a holiday tea and boutique each year on the first Saturday in December. Mark your calendar for December 6. The Boutique will open at 1:00 pm in Asbury Hall, filled with homemade goods and crafts. The program featuring the Pitman High School Madrigal Choir under the direction of Yohan Partan begins at 2:00 pm in the Sanctuary, with the tea immediately following. Table space is limited, so please contact our church office at 668-3000 or Paulette Cooper for reservations. Cost is $10 per person which includes tea, sandwiches and cookies.  Please let us know if you or a guest require gluten free, vegan or nut free options.

Enjoy Thanksgiving with your church family!

This year, we’ll have a Thanksgiving Potluck at FUMC on Thanksgiving, November 27, 2024 12:00 pm, in the Social Hall.

There are some seats left on the bus trip for Nov 22, 2025 for lunch at Rivers Edge in Knights Ferry and then to the Sonora Playhouse and see the Million Dollar Quartet Christmas. Cost is $40.00 per person. Lunch is not included. The bus leaves at 10:30 from the church. For more information or to RSVP contact Trish in the office.

Trunk or Treat is Canceled!

We are disappointed to announce that we will unfortunately have to cancel our annual Trunk or Treat. The City of Turlock is doing road maintenance and repairs on Arbor Way and currently the road is closed and the sidewalks have been removed creating hazardous conditions. We made the difficult decision to cancel this years festivities.

Sorry for any inconvenience. We will look forward to bringing back our Trunk or Treat in 2026!

We are looking forward to this special evening with the church family at Latif's by Pedretti. Tickets are limited to 100 and will be on sale beginning August 31 at church. There is a sign up sheet in the narthex for those willing and able to make and donate a dessert for our opportunity drawing. This event will be a wonderful dinner with our church family and one that does not require a lot of volunteers. So, get your tickets while they last and join us for a wonderful evening of fellowship and delicious food. Tickets will be available on Sundays and during office hours: Tuesday - Thursday, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Social hour begins at 5:00 p.m. and dinner is at 5:30 p.m. Seating is open, so if you have special friends to sit with, please arrive early to get your table. We look forward to this wonderful opportunity at Latif's by Pedretti!

We invite you to a special Sunday of worship and music by The Turlock Jazz Collective on July 13 at 9:30 a.m. After worship, we will gather on the front lawn (weather permitting) for a light brunch and more jazz.

Join us Easter morning at 9:30 AM as we celebrate the living Christ! We have a wonderful service planned, filled with music and celebration. Immediately following our worship service we will head out to the front lawn for fellowship and an Easter Egg Hunt!

FUMC invites you to our BBQ Sandwich Drive Thru fundraiser. Let us do the cooking on Wednesday, April 2nd! The meal consists of your choice of sandwich (tri-tip, chicken or linguica), fruit, chips and cookies for a $15 donation.

Donation tickets are also available to provide meals for the We Care homeless shelter.

Each year we take a day to spruce up our campus before Easter. There are jobs for all ages and abilities. Please join us any time Saturday, March 29 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

The Way of the Cross (also known as The Stations of the Cross) is a devotional exercise developed by St. Francis of Assisi in the early 13th Century. The object is to help Christians make a spiritual pilgrimage through contemplation of the Passion of Christ. Stations of the Cross can be found in many Christian churches, including Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, and United Methodist congregations.

Several local congregations will be particpating and we invite you to be part of this special event.

We start each year with a birthday bash by celebrating all our birthdays! Join us on January 19 after worship. We will have a pot luck birthday party. If you would like to decorate a table for your birthday month, please sign up in the Narthex after church. Birthday cake will be provided.
