The Worship Service on Christmas Eve is always incredibly special. With scripture readings by our young people, a special story for the child in us all, and an array of musical delights, this year’s service will be no exception.
Of course, we are accustomed to being together in the Church Sanctuary to light candles and sing “Silent Night, Holy Night”. This year, we will be gathering virtually from home – or wherever you might be. On the bright side, we know that many friends who have not been able to attend a Christmas Eve Service at church will be able to join us online. And, whether you prefer the early service, the late service, or a service right in the middle of the evening, this year you have the option of settling into what we hope will be a comfortable spot to begin the service whenever you like.
We hope everyone will have a candle ready to light – preferably from the Christ Candle in your Advent Wreath. If you don’t have an Advent Wreath, we still have a few available. We can also provide contactless delivery of Candlelight Service Candles, if those are needed. And, if you are unable to connect to our online Worship Service but can play a DVD or audio CD, just let us know and we will bring the Candlelight Christmas Eve Service to you on disc. Email the church office if you are needing any of the above. Then, you can get comfortable at home on Christmas Eve, and look forward to singing “Silent Night” by candlelight.
Our very special Christmas Eve Service will be available any time after 12:00 PM on December 24.
